What is Acupressure Cross Taping?
Cross Taping originated in Asia. A skin-friendly therapy treatment method utilizing gridded band-aid like patches that are used for treating, inter alia, trigger points, pain points, acupuncture points and for stimulating meridians (energy pathways in the body). The purpose of the treatment, as with all energy treatment techniques (such as acupuncture and acupressure) is to assist the energy to flow again undisturbed and thereby stimulate the bodies self-healing mechanism. In many cases patients express an immediate improvement in mobility and a marked reduction in pain at the application site after adhereing a CrossLinq® patch.

How do CrossLinq® Acupressure cross patches work?
Injuries, pain and trigger points disrupt body homeostasis and cause tissue stress. Blocked energy pathways create ‘dams’ of strongly charged pockets of energy. To locate one of these ‘dams’ of blocked or stored enegy the therapist need only gently drag the CrossLinq® patch above the affected area of skin where an electrical potential difference is present. The CrossLinq® patch reacts by being automatically drawn downward to the skins surface.
The CrossLinq® patch once placed on the skin will absorb the electrical charge from the skin simultanoiusly eliminating the potential difference alowing the treated area to begin the process of self-healing.
CrossLinq® areas of application:
Much is yet to be learnt and demonstrated scientifically as to why CrossLinq® patches produce the dramatic affects they do. A large body of empirical evidence from clinical practice and application is growing suggesting that the CrossLinq® patches work very effectively on areas of local pain and trigger points. Practice reports from various MTC therapists verify CrossLinq® patches can also be successfully used for:
Due to the complexity of the above listed maladies it is important to note that when treating the therapist should always be MTC® trained prior to application of CrossLinq® patches in a clinical environment.
